Known nationwide for his charismatic and charming stone carvings, renowned sculptor George Carruth will be featured at the Waterville Garden Smiles location April 27, 2013.
George Carruth signs his work at least twice annually. He will be at GARDEN SMILES, Waterville, Saturday, April 27 from 10 - 5 pm.
Always the dreamer, Mr. Carruth consistently has his customers' delight in mind. "That's my ultimate goal - to have the customer find the little subtleties that make them smile. To make them say things like 'Wow, look at that bug that's tucked away there.' It's a fun game," said Carruth.
Since 1983, Mr. Carruth has produced over 500 original designs for the home and garden. He left the corporate world and founded his own business with wife Deborah Carruth. Together, they have build a successful enterprise one stone carving at a time.
Today, Mr. Carruth's broad portfolio includes a commission from the National Cathedral in Washington, D. C., as well as an ornament for the White House Christmas Tree. His sculptures are sold in retail stores nationwide as well as from his own shop, Garden Smiles & his website, www.carruthstudio.com.
